Welcome to the official Miss Amazing Inc. blog, Conversations of Confidence! This blog is just one way that Miss Amazing Inc. is working to provide opportunities for girls and women with disabilities to raise self confidence in a supportive environment. The goal of Conversations of Confidence is to create an online environment that acts as a continuation of the environment found at the Miss Amazing Pageants. So, let us begin by telling you about the Miss Amazing Pageant and why that environment is something we want to expand to the World Wide Web.
The core program of Miss Amazing Inc. is the Miss Amazing Pageant. Miss Amazing Pageants are held annually in over half of the states across America. This event offers girls and women with disabilities the opportunity to improve their social and conversation skills as they participate in three skill areas: interview, introduction, and presentation in evening wear. The girls are asked to communicate with people about their special qualities, hobbies and ambitions, and, as a result, the participants, volunteers and audience all have a chance to focus on the participants’ many abilities and strengths. Beyond the Miss Amazing Pageant, each princess and queen can take what she has gained from the event and apply it to her every day life. Her takeaway could be a revised outlook on life, a newly discovered strength or a new goal. As more individuals become involved with the Miss Amazing Pageant and Miss Amazing Inc. continues to produce content that highlights the abilities of people with disabilities, we hope that girls and women with disabilities increasingly become more empowered to be their best and and that the breech in society between people with and without disabilities increasingly becomes smaller.

Conversations of Confidence is a space where girls and women with disabilities have the opportunity to showcase their many abilities and readers have a chance to gain a clearer picture of who the girls are, in their uniqueness and complexity. It is also a space where the leaders of Miss Amazing Inc. and the general public have a chance to converse and, together, discover ways in which Miss Amazing Inc. can continue to provide girls and women with disabilities with more opportunities to grow and shine.
